Our Story
Every brand begins with a story. For Champakali Silver Jewellery, that story begins with family, tradition, and a deep connection with the culture of Kumaun.
Founded by Sonu Khatri and Parul Khatri, husband and wife, Champakali Silver Jewellery began its journey on 28 September 2025 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. With 18 years of experience in the jewellery industry, Sonu and Parul wanted to create something that was not only about jewellery, but also about keeping our traditions close to our hearts.
Why Champakali?
The name Champakali comes from the Champakali Haar, a traditional necklace deeply connected with the culture of the Kumaun and Garhwal regions.
For us, the name has an even more personal meaning.
Sonu's mother is named Champa.
The word Champakali therefore brings together two things that are very close to our hearts: family and tradition.
For many of us who grew up around Kumauni traditions, the Champakali Haar brings back memories of our mothers and grandmothers. We remember seeing them wear their traditional jewellery, especially during festivals, family occasions, and celebrations.
Those memories are more than just memories of jewellery. They are memories of home.
Keeping Our Culture Alive
Today, the way we dress and celebrate is changing. While change is a natural part of life, we believe our roots should always remain with us.
Traditional jewellery carries stories from one generation to another. The designs, craftsmanship, and the way jewellery is worn are all part of a cultural heritage that deserves to be remembered and celebrated.
Champakali Silver Jewellery was created with this thought.
We want to bring the beauty of traditional silver jewellery to today's generation while staying connected to the culture that inspired it.
Our jewellery is a small way of keeping those stories alive, so that the traditions we grew up seeing can continue to be part of the lives of our children and future generations.
From Our Family to Yours
Champakali is not just a jewellery brand for us.
It is a connection to our mothers, our grandmothers, our homes, and the hills we come from.
It is about wearing something that reminds you of where you belong.
And it is about giving traditional craftsmanship a place in the modern world without losing its soul.
