About Champakali Haar

The Champakali haar takes its name from the champa flower: each bud-shaped piece along the necklace is a kali, or bud, of the champa. It is recognised as a traditional Kumauni necklace, and for many families in Kumaun it brings back memories of weddings, festivals and the jewellery their mothers and grandmothers wore.

It is also the piece our brand is named after. Our Champakali necklaces come in a range of styles, from pearl-strung designs to coloured variations, and can be dressed up for a wedding or kept simple for everyday wear.
